Dominion Lands Hand Book for the Information of the Public.
"In layman's terms, this booklet explained the regulations within the Dominion Lands Act. Often called the Homestead Act, there were policies governing areas such as who could make entry, women and minors, the use of proxy, timber rights, cancellation procedures, duties of a homesteader, and how to file patent on the land. The act had a major impact on the settlement of Saskatchewan. It specified that individual homesteaders had to live on a quarter section of land."
