Mennonite land seekers from Manitoba on an excursion to Herbert.

Mennonites from southern Manitoba made the relatively short journey to Southwest Saskatchewan in search of land. The CPR granted a reduced fare of 1 cent per mile since they wanted to sell the land on either side of the right of way for $3.00 per acre. Refer to audio tape A-626 for an interview with an early Mennonite family who settled in this area.
