New Board Appointed

Cabinet has made new appointments to the Saskatchewan Archives Board effective November 10, 2004. The membership of the board of directors is as follows:
Ms. Merrilee Rasmussen, Lawyer, Olive Waller Zinkham & Waller (Chair);
Dr. William Waiser, Professor of History, University of Saskatchewan;
Dr. William Howard, University Librarian, University of Regina;
Mr. George Hoffman, Sessional Lecturer, Department of History, University of Regina;
Dr. Thomas Nesmith, Associate Professor of Archival Studies, University of Manitoba;
Dr. Catherine Littlejohn, Free-lance historian, researcher, writer and consultant;
Ms. Laura Hanowski, Certified Saskatchewan genealogy researcher and instructor;
Mr. Ron Wight, Executive Director, Recreation and Corporate Services, Saskatchewan Culture, Youth and Recreation; and,
Mr. Ken Ring, Legislative Counsel and Law Clerk, Legislative Assembly.
Management and staff would like to congratulate new and returning members on their appointment and to thank outgoing board members Dr. Brett Fairbairn (Chair), Mr. Frank Winter (Vice Chair), Mrs. Gwenn Ronyk (all appointed 1997) and Mrs. Gwen Charman (appointed 1999) - for their dedication and service to the Saskatchewan Archives. We welcome back Dr. William Howard, Mr. George Hoffman and Dr. Tom Nesmith for a second term. Dr. Howard was elected Vice Chair at the first meeting of the board held in December.
