Timeline: Louis Riel Diary

One of the highlights of the 1980s was the acquisition of the Louis Riel diary. The provincial government purchased the diary from a private owner and presented it to the Saskatchewan Archives to add to its Permanent Collection. This diary was written by Louis Riel in the weeks prior to and during the Battle of Batoche in May 1885. Hon.
